Moving from kindergarten up to first grade feels like such a huge step! Not only are their personalities developing more and more, but they are starting to look more like big kids as their heads become more proportionate to their bodies. Senior year feels so far away now, but we all know it will be here way quicker than we would like.

Although we can't slow down time, we can at least document it with photos that can be a precious reminder of these sweet kids at this special age. And how fun will it be to look back when they are seniors and compare these photos side by side. A true before and after of their school years. It's not surprising that these are becoming more popular - but currently JB Photography is the only photographer offering these sessions in the Columbia area.

Frequently Asked Questions

These are designed for children ages 5-6 who are graduating from kindergarten or who have recently graduated. Ideally these sessions should be done within the calendar year of graduation.

Who are these sessions for?

Sessions may be booked at any time, but I will also offer special mini session events around graduation time. I know the end of the year can be a crazy time, so I try to do one in May and one in June. Note- session fees will be higher for photos scheduled outside of mini sessions.

When do you offer these sessions?

Drapes & pearls and tuxes & bowties will be provided.

Girls - please dress your child in a stretchy top that can be pulled down off her shoulders. Try to choose something that is not bulky.

Boys - Please bring them in a white undershirt. Tux shirts, jackets, and bowties are provided.

Please arrive with hair styled.
